Petri Rissanen has started working at Akson as the Project Manager of Akson's new peer support project for years 2024-2026. Former Organization Coordinator Maarika Halonen has moved to the project as a Project Planner.

Funding Centre for Social Welfare and Health Organisations (STEA) has proposed grant funding for Akson in the full amount we applied for. In addition to Akson's normal operations, we applied funding for a peer support project for years 2024-2026.

Akson launched a Finnish translation of the brochure Food, weight and health for people with spinal cord injury - tips, questions & answers. The original Swedish language brochure Mat, vikt och hälsä - for dig med ryggmärgsskada - tips, frågor & svar was made by Spinalis. The Finnish, English and Swedish brochures can be downloaded here as a free PDF.
